One player from the SIJHL has an opportunity to play for Canada West at the upcoming World Junior ‘A’ Challenge in Bonneyville, Alberta.
17-year-old Keighan Gerrie has received an invite to selection camp, where he will compete against 43-other players.
The Thunder Bay North Stars forward currently sits third in league scoring with 18-goals and 21-assists in 19-games.
The camp runs from December 3rd to 5th in Calgary.
Gerrie will be joined by Red Lake’s Derek Sweet-Coulter who has already been named to the coaching staff.
Canada West won Gold last year.
