Keighan Gerrie Named To Canada West Selection Camp

Only one player in the SIJHL has been invited to try-out for Team Canada West for the upcoming World Junior ‘A’ Challenge.

The league will be represented by Thunder Bay North Stars forward Keighan Gerrie.

Gerrie will join 60-other invitees at the selection camp in Calgary starting December 2nd.

The 16-year-old from Thunder Bay sits second on the North Stars in team scoring with 10-goals and 12-assists in 22-games.

Gerrie was drafted in the 12th round by the London Knights of the Ontario Hockey League.

Team Canada West will open the World Junior Challenge on December 10th in Truro, Nova Scotia.

English River Miners Coach Derek Sweet-Coulter will serve as a Video Coach.
