Puget Ventures says that drilling on its Werner West Zone near Kenora has solidified the property as an important North American cobalt prospect.
New drilling has produced some high-grade results.
Cobalt is used in the preparation of magnetic and high-strength metal alloys and demand for the mineral is increasing.
Company officials say they are pleased with the initial returns from the project.
