Kenora City Council says its no longer going to continue with the Common Voice initiative being set up by the Northwestern Ontario Municipal Association.
The city has until the end of the year to contribute five thousand dollars to the regional economic development initiative, or risk losing it membership in NOMA.
Kenora city councillor Rory McMillan says they have the backing from local at least one local aboriginal group on their stand.
