The province needs to make it easier for new doctors to set up shop in northern Ontario.
That’s the feeling of one area politician.
Kenora Councilor Rory McMillan has drafted a resolution calling on the Minister of Health to change the ways doctors roster patients.
He adds that many doctors who come to the region can’t start accepting patients right away.
McMillan says the formula used by the Ministry is the same across Ontario and doesn’t take into account regional needs.
