A Kenora man has been fined $2,000 for illegally hunting deer.
37-year-old Cory Mozdzen plead guilty in Kenora court to charges of night hunting.
Last November, the OPP received a complaint of a deer being towed on a sleigh behind a vehicle at 1:30 in the morning.
Police followed the trail and discovered the suspect with a large buck.
Conservation officers discovered the deer has been shot in Mozden’s back yard with a bow just before 6:00 at night, which was after legal hunting time had ended.
He was also in a no-discharge area at the time.
