A Kenora man wants to put Northwestern Ontario back on the map.
Randy Nickle is seeking nomination for the position of MPP of the Kenora-Rainy River riding.
Nickle adds he’s spoken with PC Leader Tim Hudak about what needs to be done in the province.
After receiving phone calls from fellow residents, he has decided to step up to the plate with a focus on creating manufacturing jobs and cutting the red tape out of small and medium sized businesses.
Nickle grew up in Dryden and he and his wife currently own and operate the A&W and the Movies on Main store in Kenora.
A nomination meeting will be held at the Best Western in Dryden on December 1 at 3pm.
