The Abitibi-Consolidated newsprint mill in Kenora has been shut down for almost a year now, but former employees are still concerned about the future of the property.
Yesterday about 200 people gathered in front of the mill for an information picket.
Kim Ginter is a national representitive for the Communications, Energy and Paperworkers union and says the mill can still be viable.

The Unions say that in order to facilitate the sale of the mill wood rights and the powerhouses on the Winnipeg River should also be tied directly to the facility.
