About 200 people, including local politicians, turned up for an information picket in front of the Abitibi-Consolidated newsprint mill in Kenora.
Even though the mill has been closed down for the past year, local unions have raised new concerns about the companies plans for the property.
Gary Talarico is a staff representitive for the United Steelworkers Union and says they don’t want Abitibi to remove any equipment from the mill site.

Kenora M.P. Roger Valley also attended the information picket and suggested that had the Liberal Government remained in office, the Kenora mill would still be running today.
