The Kenora newsprint mill has resumed production after a six-week shutdown.
The Abitibi-Consolidated mill had to shutdown at the end of January after a granite roller on a paper machine shattered causing extensive damage.
The cost of rebuilding the machine has been estimated at several million dollars.
Meantime, mill manager Dave Kerr says more downtime is likely this spring but it will depend on the economy and the demand for newsprint.
