Kenora MP Bob Nault says he’s anxious to see construction start on the new all-weather road connecting Shoal Lake #40 to the mainland.
Nault says everything is now in place to begin work on the Freedom Road.
Nault notes all of the financial resources have now been approved.
He is hoping the road will lead to additional economic opportunities for the First Nations community.
Nault says work is expected to start in late Spring or Summer.
