Kenora MP Focusing On Growing Regional Economy

The federal government will continue to focus on skilled trades training in order to move the regional economy forward.

That’s the pledge of Kenora MP Bob Nault, commenting on a recent $5.7-million investment to help Indigenous people get vital job skills and work experience.

Nault says they need to be proactive and think about the skills that we will need in the future.

Nault says this type of training is essential to compete in the global economy.

He notes to also be successful, we have to see the creation of better broadband in rural and northern Ontario if we want to be successful.

Nault says he will continue to push the government for enhanced investments in that area.
