Kenora MP Bob Nault says there are a lot of goodies for the northwest in the Liberals’ federal budget.
Nault says there is $8.4-billion set aside for First Nations.
A good chunk of that money will be used to address poor water quality and end boil water advisories on remote reserves.
Nault notes there’s also funding for the Experimental Lakes Area, west of Vermilion Bay.
The Liberal member adds there’s a $120-billion investment for infrastructure over ten years, which he says will also benefit the north.
He also says money will help young people afford student loans and find skills training for jobs.
