Kenora MP Responds to Economic Statement

The Conservative Member of Parliament for the Kenora Riding is applauding yesterday’s economic statement by Finance Minister Jim Flaherty.
Greg Rickford says while the government is forecasting a recession over the next two quarters, it’s taking steps to reduce spending.
Rickford says one element contained in the plan prevents federal civil servants from striking for two years.
Rickford says the government has also decided to strip political parties of $27-million in taxpayer subsidies.
