Chief Rudy Turtle is expected to officially become the federal NDP candidate for the Kenora Riding today.
Riding Association members say they will be voting at a nomination meeting in Kenora today.
The meeting is a formality since they indicate there are no other nominees.
It is scheduled for 5:00 local time at the St. John Ambulance Meeting Room at 300 McClellan Avenue.
