OPP have charged one of their own in relation to a motor vehicle collision near Grassy Narrows that injured 4 people last August.
Police say 52-year-old Kenora Constable Anthony Hale was on routine patrol when his southbound cruiser collided with a northbound pick-up truck while he was passing another vehicle.
Hale has been charged with careless driving and will appear in court next month.
In September, the Special Investigations Unit launched a separate probe.
The SIU determined that there was no reasonable basis to believe that Hale committed a criminal offense in relation to the crash.
