The City of Kenora has picked the Ontario Provincial
Police to enforce law within the municipality.
The OPP’s bid will now have to go before the Ontario
Police Commission on Police Services, and a dismantling
hearing will be held.
Kenora Police Service Chief Dan Jorgenson says he’s not
sure what the future holds in store for his officers.

they provided a very competitive bid.

The final vote came down to a 3-3 split, with Mayor Len
Compton breaking the tie.
