Kenora-Rainy River Riding Conservative Candidate Speaks About Brown Allegations

The Conservative candidate in the Kenora-Rainy River Riding says Patrick Brown’s decision to resign as party leader was the right one.

Greg Rickford says he and the rest of the party condemn sexual violence in the strongest possible terms.

He says he hopes Patrick Bown receives fair due process, but he also hopes, as a father of three daughters, that they will strive to create an environment where girls can comfortably come forward with information and get more support for victims of sexual harassment.

As for the next leader, Rickford admits he’s already been approached by possible candidates, but he’s still waiting for word as to how the process will unfold.

He doesn’t think the sexual misconduct allegations will not affect how people will vote in the riding.
