Kenora Ready To Host National Rowing Competition

Kenora will play host to national athletes for the next few days as the city hosts the rowing event for the Canada Summer Games in Winnipeg.

The Beaver Brae and St. Thomas Aquinas school’s have been transformed to athlete villages.

School and municipal officials say they are well prepared to host the national competitors.

Some 150-female athletes will be housed at St. Thomas Aquinas Thomas, while male athletes will make Beaver Brae their new home.

The rowing competitors will be bussed into Kenora immediately following the opening ceremonies in Winnipeg Friday night.
