Candidates in Kenora Riding are covering all parts of the region this week drumming up support.
Liberal Roger Valley says health care is on the minds of everyone and he wants to concentrate on improving it for Northerners.
Valley says he is also visiting First Nation communities discussing how the Government can improve the Governance Act.
Susan Barclay of the NDP doesn’t think Ottawa is doing enough to help motorists with the soaring price of gasoline and she wants to see a Regulatory Board set up to deal with the issue.
Barclay also finds that more people are growing frustrated with the Grits due to accountability issues.
Conservative Bill Brown wants to see the gun registry scrapped because it impedes Northern hunters and he would like to see the money can be spent on other things life defense..
Brown says his Government would also introduce a free vote in the Commons so MP’s can act on behalf of their constituents.
Green Party candidate Charles Chayboyer is concentrating on aboriginal issues as well as the Grassy Narrows blockade.
The candidates will be able to debate the issues an all-candidates night on June 23rd in Dryden.
