Kenora-Vacancy Rates #2

The Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation says

Northern Ontario is facing extremly tight rental market

conditions.

The vacancy rates for many Northern communities has

been on a steady decline since 1999.

Spokesperson David Philp says there are a number of

reasons why Kenora has a zero vacancy rate.

The vacancy rate in Kenora in 2006 was 3.4%. If you are

looking to rent a two bedroom apartment in Kenora it will

cost you around 727 dollars. That’s a slight six dollar

decrease from the year before.
