The Kenora Broncos came away with the Championship of the first-ever Fort High Muskie Girl’s Hockey Tournament held over the weekend.
The Bronco girls posted a 5-2 win over Fort Frances in the tournament championship game held on Sunday afternoon.
In their first meeting, the Broncos scored with just over a minute left in regulation time, and then got an empty-netter with about 30 seconds left to beat the Fort 5-3.
The NorWOSSA seaosn begins in a couple of weeks.
