Work will include increasing the height of the road subgrade and gravel.
Once complete, the project will improve ditching and allow for improved flood mitigation.
The cash for Ignace will support redevelopment efforts at the Landfill facility.
The project will repair, upgrade and expand the landfill.
The attendant transfer facility for employees will also be expanded.
Work includes the installation of security cameras, commercial recycling bins, and a vehicle weight scale system and gates.
The Nishnawbe Aski Nation is also receiving government funding to expand its Student Internet Connectivity Project.
