A big thank you to everyone who has been involved in the COVID vaccine rollout.
It comes from Dryden Councillor Shayne MacKinnon.
“I think we’ve had, I believe in our community, over 30 mass vaccine clinics and I just want to thank everyone so much for putting those on. Certainly for the staff at the Northwestern Health Unit, you are truly heroes.”
MacKinnon adds health unit staff have gone above and beyond the call of duty to keep everyone safe.
“You really have demonstrated your flexibility and patience under changing and challenging times and we may never know how many lives you’ve saved through your efforts, but certainly you have!”
He says, “For the EMS people and other vaccination support folks, including retired and active doctors, thank you for being there and truly protecting our families and friends.”
MacKinnon also pointed to the work of community organizations and clubs, including Dryden Rotary.
He stresses we could not have achieved the rates we are seeing without the unselfish work and good deeds of volunteers.
MacKinnon says everyone in Dryden should be incredibly proud right now.
