People in the region needing major joint replacement surgery no longer have to travel out of town to have the procedure done.
Thunder Bay Surgeor John Porter now spends a week in Dryden every 2 months taking care of a long & growing list of patients.
Dr Porter does about 10 full replacements every visit, spending the rest of his week doing minor surgeries & checking on patients progress.
He says in his opinion, the staff & facilities at the Dryden Regional Health Center are 2nd to none.
