The Keewatin-Patricia District School Board is touting their summer programs.
The five programs across the region focus on improving reading and math skills as well as hands-on learning.
Spokesperson Tracy Lindstrom talks about what she calls the “summer dip” where students tend to forget what they learned over the summer break.
She says that summer programs help students avoid this dip and hopes the programs receive just as much funding for years to come.
Lindstrom adds they have been very successful over the last few years.
