Enrolment numbers are starting to balance out within the Keewatin-Patricia School District.
Superintendent of Business Dean Carrie says total enrolment on September 30th was 5,052 students, which was on a head count basis.
Enrollment was at 5,172 students during the same period last year.
Carrie expects this years numbers to go up, adding they are pretty much on target for the end of October.
Some schools are seeing a jump in numbers, including Queen Elizabeth District High School in Sioux Lookout which is 31 students higher than the budgeted at 488, and Carrie adds the school tends to bring in enrolments throughout the year.
In elementary grades, enrolment is pretty close, ranging from 260-290 students in each grade.
Elementary enrolment in Dryden is down 31 from budget projections and down 13 students at Dryden High School.
