Ninety five percent of Elementary public school teachers
with the Keewatin Patricia District school board have voted
in favour of strike action.
Emily Noble is the president of the elementary teachers
federation of Ontario, and says if contract talks continue
to falter, they will look at strike action in March.
The union is asking for 250 minutes of preperation time a
week, currently Keewatin Patricia elementary teachers have
150 minutes.
The Keewatin Patricia local represents 256 public
elementary school teachers, who have been without a
contract since August 31st, 2004.
