Devlin Timber is closing the doors on it’s Kenora sawmill
division.
The shut down will result in the loss of 30 full time
employees.
Spokesperson Paul Stuckless says the mill will continue
to operate until all of it’s log inventory has been sawn,
which is estimated at 6 to 8 weeks.
High production costs and low lumber prices are being
blamed for the closure.
The company will continue to run its logging division and
supply pulpwood and sawlogs to area mills.
