Lakehead University is forging a new partnership with Queen’s University.
The two have signed a memorandum of understanding.
Dean of Engineering Dr. David Barnett says the agreement will expand educational opportunities for students in the field of mining engineering.
Dr. Barnett says it allow students from across the region to enhance their skills and prepare for a job in a growing sector.
The Queen’s programs will be offered on-line at the Thunder Bay LU campus.
