L-U Professor Chimes In On Parliament Shootings

Lakehead University’s Political Science Professor Laure Paquette is weighing in on Wednesday’s tragic shootings in Ottawa.
Paquette says the shootings don’t appear to be random acts of violence.
She believes it’s likely a politically motivated attack.
Paquette stresses it’s no coincidence that this is the second time this week a member of the armed forces has been killed.
She believes it’s related to decisions made by politicians about how to use their armed forces and not the soldiers themselves.
Paquette adds one thing is for sure security at Parliament Hill will forever be changed because of the shocking event.
She doesn’t believe it will come to the point where public tours are no longer allowed.
