The milling operations may be back on at the Lac Des Iles mine, but the province is still keeping an eye on them.
The operations were curtailed after last month’s big tailings pond spill.
Mines Minister Michael Gravelle says they are getting daily reports on activity at the site.
Gravelle says the Ministry of Environment is taking the issue very seriously and is working hard to ensure the same thing doesn’t happen again.
He adds the mine has issued an emergency director’s order to ensure there’s no further spillage.
