Lac Seul First Nation Showcases New Arena

The Chief of Lac Seul First Nation says the new state-of-the-art arena in their community will help keep youth active, healthy and doing positive things.
Clifford Bull showcased the spectacular facility Wednesday night during the first ever junior hockey game to be played in Lac Seul.
Bull says the game was a perfect way to motivate kids and allow them to dream about a possible future in hockey.
He hopes that it helped encourage more kids to lace up the skates.
The English River Miners and Dryden Ice Dogs both have one member on their team from Lac Seul First Nation.
Barry King is the Events Centre Manager and he says the facility has been a huge hit.
King says the Ice Dogs-Miners game was the first major event in the building and he was pleased with the response from the community.
The arena and conference centre opened in April and already more than 80-kids are enrolled in the first ever Lac Seul Minor Hockey program.
