Man Charged More Than One Year After Death

A 26-year-old Seine River First Nation man has been charged with second degree murder in connection with last year’s death of 45-year-old Leo Whitecrow.
The charges come more than a year after Whitecrow’s body was discovered inside a room at the Mid-Town Motel in Fort Frances.
Provincial Police Sergeant Shelly Garr says a one year investigation resulting in charges isn’t unusual.
Garr says Peter Deafy will appear in court today.
The cause of Whitecrow’s death has not yet been revealed.
