Registrations are now being accepted for the 8th Annual Bearskin Airlines Skip to Equip Charity Bonspiel in Sioux Lookout.
Organizers are hoping for 32 ladies curling teams for the November 9th-11th event.
Muriel Anderson was a guest on the CKDR Morning Show Friday and she says all money goes to the Meno Ya Win Health Centre Foundation.
Proceeds will support the C-arm, a diagnostic tool for surgery, as well as long term care programming.
Anderson says this year they are hoping to surpass their 8-year, half-a-million-dollar goal.
She stresses it’s a fun event, for all skill levels and all age groups.
The theme is “Storybook” and participants are asked to wear purple.
The costume day is November 10th and everyone is asked to dress up.
There will also be a penny and silent auction.
