A 63 year old American man is dead following a boating accident on Lake of the Woods.
The O.P.P.’s marine unit was called out yesterday afternoon to Sabaskong Bay after a man had been run over by a boat.
Police say three people were fishing in the 17 foot vessel, when it made an erratic turn.
One of the occupants was dumped into the water, and subsequently hit by the boat.
Police say while, the man was pulled out of the water quickly, he had already sustained serious injuries.
The victim was transported to the government dock in Nestor Falls, where he was pronounced dead.
The deceased has been identified as Frank Nitti of Oak Park, Illinois.
