A Kenora-based brewery is planning to expand south of the border.
Lake of the Woods Brewing Company has announced plans to develop a brew pub operation in Warroad, Minnesota.
Like the Kenora operations, the Warroad brewery will be located in an old fire hall.
LOWBREWCO will be working with an American partner on the enterprise, which will be the northern-most brewery in Minnesota.
President and CEO of the company Taras Manzie says they want to service all of Lake of the Woods, and that includes not only Ontario, but Minnesota and Manitoba.
The new brewery is expected to open its doors in the spring of 2019.
