8-lakes in Northwestern Ontario are the focus of an Ontario Government survey this Summer.
Fisheries crews will be out on the water monitoring the health of lakes and fish populations as well as checking for invasive species.
Crews will be working north of Red Lake as well as Sioux Lookout and Nipigon.
Officials stress that all nets will be clearly marked and ask that recreational activities around the buoys be avoided.
Information gathered through the surveys will help in setting season and size limits for anglers.
