Newfie Night Fundraiser Supporting Rink Project

Neighbourhood Legacy has been selected as the charity of choice for the Annual ‘Newfie Night’ fundraiser in Dryden.
The seafood dinner and dance is June 4th at the Fairgrounds.
Bill MacIsaac of the Newfoundland and Labrador Club Spokesperson says they are in year number seventeen of helping area groups.
All proceeds will go to build a portable ice rink in Dryden.
Spokesperson Shayne MacKinnon says the portable surface would be moved around the City and would be the perfect complement to Milestone and the Dryden Arena.
He says they are trying to secure funding as soon as possible.
Organizers are expecting another capacity crowd of 500.
Both men appeared on the CKDR Morning Show today (Tuesday).
