The property owners association on Lake of the Woods has decided to create a foundation to protect the quality and quantity of water in the basin.
Lake property owners coordinator Kelli Saunders notes the foundation has two main objectives.

Saunders adds the foundation is about to be incorporated and should receive charitable status by this summer.
Volunteers are now being recruited to sit on the foundation steering committee.
