Lakehead Soldier killed in Afghanistan

A 22 year old Thunder Bay native is the latest Canadian Forces member to be killed in afghanistan.
Taliban insurgents launched an attack on a coalition forces base northwest of Kandahar overnight sparking a firefight that Private Robert Costall, who who was based out of CFB Edmonton.
Also killed in the attack were an American soldier, at least 8 Afghan Army troops, & about a dozen rebels.
3 wounded Canadians are listed in fair to good condition
