Lakehead University Adds Course To Curriculum

Lakehead University’s Law School is hoping they’ve pleased the students that are staging a sit-in outside the President’s office, as well as the Nishnawbe-Aski Nation.
The school is offering a new course called Aboriginal Perspectives that will be a mandatory half credit component to their first year.
Spokesperson Rod Hanley hopes things can move forward in a positive manner.
Hanley says he got in touch with NAN, who is fully supportive of the addition.
He notes that NAN and the university have very similar goals.
The course Aboriginal Perspectives would be a mandatory half-credit component of the curriculum to complement Native Canadian World Views & Law, which has already been approved by Lakehead University Senate.
