The Fort Frances Lakers continue to rule the SIJHL.
The Lakers won their third straight Bill Salonen Cup Saturday night with a 4-2 victory over the Dryden GM Ice Dogs.
The Lakers managed to shut down Dryden GM after Matt Houston scored 12 seconds into the game.
Fort Frances scored three straight goals after that and controlled the play.
Nic Noseworthy made things interesting with a goal late in the third but Christian Ripley iced the championship with an empty netter.
The Lakers outshot Dryden GM 30-28.
Fort Frances will represent the SIJHL at the Dudley Hewitt Cup and will face the host Kirkland Lake Gold Miners, the Soo Thunderbirds and the Trenton Golden Hawks.
