The Fort Frances Lakers are now two points up on the Dryden GM Ice Dogs in the SIJHL standings.
The Lakers downed the Minnesota Iron Rangers 5-2 Friday night in Hoyt Lakes.
Nic Lucas led the way with a pair of goals.
Fort Frances outshot Minnesota 43-21.
The Lakers now have 16-points and are third in the league.
Saturday night, the Red Lake Miners entertain the Ice Dogs at the Cochenour Arena at 7:30.
Thunder Bay is in Minnesota and Fort Frances returns home to face Thief River Falls.
