Lakers Stun Ice Dogs

Proof that everything can come crashing down in a blink of an eye.

With the Dryden GM Ice Dogs holding a 5-1 third period lead, the Fort Frances Lakers stormed back to score four unanswered goals, including the game tying goal with 34 seconds left to eventually pull out a 6-5 overtime win,.

Dylan Robertson was the hero with his third of the game just over a minute into extra time.

The Lakers had 14 powerplays in the game and scored 4 times on the man advantage.

Dryden had 9 and found the back of the net once.

The Lakers outshot Dryden 33-32, 26 of them on the powerplay.

Nic Noseworthy led the Ice Dogs with a pair of goals, while Matt Houston and Ben Smaha added singles.

Paul Laferriere lost his first game of the season.
