The Ice Dogs battled back from multiple deficits and forced an 18-player shootout before Nick Minerva finally ended things in a wild 7-6 Fort Frances win.
Nic Noseworthy led Dryden GM with 3-goals and 1-assist, while Shakeel Ebraheim scored his first SIJHL goal.
Troy Williams and Blake Berg added singles.
The Lakers outshot the Ice Dogs 32-30.
