There were 10-new forest fires reported in Northwestern Ontario over the weekend.
The Ministry of Natural Resources is keeping a close watch on a 17,500 hectare fire about 30-kilometres southeast of Pickle Lake.
Winds are drifting smoke from the fire towards the communities of New Osnaburgh First Nation and Pickle Lake.
The MNR is also monitoring 2-fires in Quetico Park.
The fire hazard is high in the eastern and northern sectors of the region and low to moderate in the west.
