Pro fisherman Bob Izumi says the TecVana concept is an important one in promoting outdoor activities in Northwestern Ontario.
Izumi was in Dryden last Friday to promote the concept.
He says TecVana is using social media marketing and interactive real-life gaming to get more people outside.
Izumi adds you can engage tourists by using contests, the internet, promotions and even a reality show.
He stresses this innovative approach will help revitalize the struggling outdoor industry and the economy of local communities.
