Large Fire Burning Near Savant Lake

A 1,450 hectare forest fire continues to burn in Wabakimi Provincial Park, about 38-kilometres east of Savant Lake.
The Ministry of Natural Resources has 21-fire crews and 5-helicopters on the blaze.
Firefighters have been able to keep the blaze away from tourist camps and the CN main rail-line.
At one point on the weekend 11-people staying in the Park were forced from their properties as a precautionary measure.
They were allowed to return back to the area on Sunday.
The fire is now classified as held.
