First Nation students shouldn’t have to choose between their education and their safety.
That’s the message coming out of a two day emergency meeting on the safety of aboriginal youth attending school in Thunder Bay.
6 recommendations are being pushed for by First Nation leaders and the City.
They include identifying immediate steps to address safety for youth attending school away from home and scanning education facilities and finding possible improvements.
